“If there was one material item I could save out of all my possessions in an emergency situation it would be my Tefilin”

Miracle of the day:
I just landed in Miami and was picked up by my two good friends @aaronholdermusic and @pinkgorilladaniel and brought to eat at @zakthebaker .

Unfortunately, when driving off in Wynwood the trunk was open and my brown duffle bag fell out. In this bag I had several items including my pocket Zohar, a few sudras, and my Tefilin & Talit from my Bar Mitzvah.

I’ve traveled to over 55 countries around the world with my Tefilin and wear them daily to connect to Hashem, mediating by putting positive thoughts towards all that I’m thankful for, the people in my life, and goals I seek and will achieve.

If there was one material item I could save out of all my possessions in an emergency situation it would be my Tefilin, and in a blink of an eye, I found myself separated from them. We drove back and it was gone. A witness told us a man in a Vespa drove by, picked it up, and drove off with it.

After an hour of running from shop to shop nearby, getting security footage, calling my friend and mayor of Bal Harbour @groismangabe for advice, visiting the nearby pawnshops, and even getting the police involved, I get a call from a man with an amazing soul from Colombia named @juancagu10 .

He found my bag as he was driving by on his Vespa doing deliveries but it was too big so he decided to take it to his place nearby in order to find my contact information inside. The only thing that had my info was my phone number and name written on my Tefilin case. Once finding that he called me and gave me the address to come pick up the bag.

It is not common to find souls who do the right thing in such situations, but Juan Carlos is one of them. He is an industrial engineer by trade looking for a job and staying with his brother who is a chef at a restaurant. If there is any person reading this in the Miami area that can use the skills of an industrial engineer with the purest heart, please reach out to him on his IG account. @juancagu10
