“Eidel makes it ok to be yourself. She’s made lots of hard moments feel not so alone . She’d probably be surprised to hear any of this because in her mind she’s not doing extra for anyone, she’s just that caring without trying.”

Story by: Hindel Moskovits

The partnership that is needed between us and our childrens teachers and educators is so strong.

When I met Eidel Pinson  I remember thinking I can somehow swindle my way into being cool enough for her. I remember the friendship being easy. She liked me and I don’t remember trying and thinking about the right things to do or say.
Eidel notices everyone who feels out of place, needs a hand or a pick me up.
I was in shul and noticed a lady who was very out of place and looked uncomfortable. She didn’t have a phone to distract herself with and I could feel how awkward she felt. I kept rehearsing in my mind how and what to say to make this women feel more comfortable but ultimately decided I was too uncomfortable and she was on her own. Seconds later Eidel draws this women in , finds her a seat nearby and makes the women feel at home.

When Eidel gives money to her kids in camp she always adds an extra 5$ and instructs them to look for the kids who don’t have money for a drink or a game. She thinks about EVERYONE who needs a little extra and makes sure they have it.  Eidel makes it ok to be yourself. She’s made lots of hard moments feel not so alone . She’d probably be surprised to hear any of this because in her mind she’s not doing extra for anyone, she’s just that caring without trying.
