I am nominating Henya Laine because when I moved to CH as a Baal techuvah.  Henya took me under her wing after meeting at shul my very first week there. Almost 16 years later, she still invites me as a frequent guest to her beautiful Shabbos and yom tov meals, along with many other guests. She has an open home policy where friends and extended family are always welcome. She never hesitates to do a mitzvah for any Jew that crosses her path. I have witnessed that she never turns away anyone who comes to her for tzdaka, especially for a chosen who is fundraising, she is most kindly generous. Henya is unusually thoughtful of others, and goes out of her way to help with things most people would never even consider. In shul she often calls the page in the women’s section, for which the ladies are grateful, since it isn’t so easy to follow because of the mechitza. Many consider her their best friend because she is a rare gem of a kind person, whom I believe deserves to receive this award in the merit of Rebbitzen Yocheved Gourarie who was also a sweet and kind person herself.
