Story by: Liba Stein

I noticed that the next day the director of camp wore the same outfit as she had worn the night before so that the girls would feel more comfortable wearing the same clothing as well.

As a child I spent my summers in a Gan Yisroel overnight camp. One Friday night in camp there was a fire in a bunkhouse and all the girls belongings were destroyed. I noticed that the next day the director of camp wore the same outfit as she had worn the night before so that the girls would feel more comfortable wearing the same clothing as well. It was a seemingly small of showing support for their loss but it made a lasting impression on me.
